Palm Beach York Rite Bodies will be participating in a York Rite Festival to be held on October 12th and 13th, 2012 at the Lake Worth Scottish Rite Building. This will be a multiple Zone event and cover the Chapter, Council and Commandery. Saturday evening the 13th, we will conclude with a Home Coming Dinner for John G. Allen, Most Excellent Grand High Priest. Please come out and show your support.
The York Rite of Freemasonry
A petitioner knocks at the door of Symbolic Masonry of his own free will and accord. After acceptance, he enters therein. He is impressed, perhaps overwhelmed by the magnificence of its ritual. He is immediately and then increasingly as the degrees unfold, wanting to learn as much as he can about the world's oldest, largest and most respected fraternity with which he has become affiliated. He seeks answers to scores, yes hundreds of questions. The York Rite completes the Masonic story. The Degrees and Orders are the result of a well thought out system of education. Each Degree in it adds something to the understanding of the individual Mason of the thing which he is seeking. The Degrees and Orders are designed to impress upon those who receive them, certain moral values which we regard as basic and essential in building a perfect brotherhood. The aim and purpose of York Rite Masons in our various Chapters, Councils and. Commanderies, and in our daily lives, is clear and well defined. It is to dispense Masonic Light and knowledge, to contribute to the building of character, to make good men better, to the end that all mankind will be uplifted and made better. |
